Boom Boom Pow (...am I the only one who can't stand this song?!)

Heyy. Yawn! I am so exhausted, and it's not even ten o'clock. Ugh. I've been so busy, even when I am at home. I really wish I could sit back and rest and really ENJOY my summer to the fullest, but I don't think it's possible right now. There is a lot going on and it's wearing me out, but I don't think there is much I can do about it! All I want to do is sleep, but I can't. There are too many things on my mind and on my schedule. Grr! When will my summer REALLY be summer?!

Anyway. Yeah, I completely agree with you on the Michael Jackson thing, and I am getting very irritated with the media for making it such a huge deal. I already said a lot about this in my last post, so I won't repeat myself! But yes. It's way overdone. Everyone is saying "Rest In Peace", but I'm not sure he is getting much peace, regardless of where he might be!

Haha...okay. I agree with you that it's pointless to get too "involved" with the lives of celebrities! Because there is nothing that anyone can do about another person who they don't even know. But I guess in the same way you are interested in fashion and hair and that sort of thing, I am interested in relationships! (No, not just romantic relationships hahaha.) I don't know...I just like dissecting interviews and song lyrics to find out what is really "going on", even if it doesn't affect me. It might sound a little weird, but...yeah. Hahaha. That's just me.

You enjoy Taylor's voice? I like many of her songs, but I really don't think that either she OR Joe is very talented as far as singing. When he tries to hit a high note, his voice gets whiny, and she doesn't hit the high notes, she just goes louder. I think it's kind of funny! Both of them may be talented in their own ways, but they certainly aren't blowing anyone away with their vocal abilities! Any thoughts? :)

Yes, I heard about the Jon and Kate thing. In fact I have a funny...well, not funny. But ironic, I suppose? Well anyway, I have a story about that! I don't watch the show personally, but once my family and I decided to try it to see what the whole thing was about. So we were watching just a little bit of the episode (this was several months ago) and my dad said, not jokingly, "They're going to end up divorced." He was serious! I wasn't sure what to think, I couldn't really say from watching it, but my dad noticed it right away...and sure enough, it turns out he was right. It's sad when anyone gets divorced, but I think it's very selfish of both of them because, what will happen to their kids? Gosh. It's really messed up. :(

So...sorry if that was a boring post. I am EXHAUSTED and I don't have much energy at the moment, so I apologize! I really need to get to bed. Talk to y'all later!

Lovelovelove,

Brunette.

Hot N Cold

You might be wondering why I chose that for my title. Well, the reason is that I can't seem to get away from that song! I kid you not: On Monday, I heard that full song FIVE TIMES in the span of less than 12 hours. I'm dead serious! I heard it four times because the obnoxious little kids on the cul de sac right above my house are honestly OBSESSED with inviting the other little kids over nearly every afternoon, jumping on their trampoline, and BLASTING, and I mean BLASTING, a CD that they must have burned containing all of the songs that have been very popular in their own time during the past year or so. I can practically recite the soundtrack, but here is an example of the songs on there:

1. "Our Song", Taylor Swift
2. "Hot N Cold", Katy Perry (man voice detector.....BEEP.....BEEP......BEEP BEEP BEEP!)
3. "Disturbia", Rihanna
4. "Womanizer", Britney Ugh Spears
5. "Love Story", Taylor Swift
6. "Let It Rock", Kevin Rudolph
7. .........more Taylor Swift songs...............

As you can see, it's a pathetic list of those you-like-it-at-first-but-then-everyone-loves-it-and-you-start-to-hear-it-everywhere-and-before-you-know-it-it's-morphed-into-one-of-those-insanely-annoyingly-popular-songs-that-you-can't-get-away-from type of soundtracks. And they play it OVER AND OVER AND OVER again until you resort to closing all the windows and try to drown out the lingering background noise with your own iPod, only to realize that some of those very same songs have come back to haunt you from your own piece of machinery!

Oh, and I nearly forgot to tell you about the FIFTH time I heard that song on Monday! I also heard it at the ice skating rink.......I invited Nicole so she came with us to Costco (oh, fun fun, right?!), but we actually managed to keep ourselves amused and somewhat fed there. Unfortunately the taste-test booths were almost all closed, so all we managed to get was a piece of stale brownie and a cold, buttered square of sweet Hawaiian bread. Sounds disgusting thinking back, but hey we needed our nourishment! ;)

Then we went to...um, I forgot, we went on some other errand, and then we finally reached the ice skating rink. Noah's back hurt or something so he didn't skate with us :( But it was soo soo fun!! There weren't a ton of people there, but we still made fools of ourselves singing along badly with the music that they play while you are singing. And then trying to talk loud enough to drown out a song that you don't like. I have to say, I am getting SO sick of "Love Story." I hear it absoloutely everywhere I go, and it's starting to get on my nerves... But anyhoo back to my story. So Nicole and I kept almost-falling on top of each other, especially during the chicken dance -- we all nearly DIED of laughter -- but somehow we managed to stay up every time. All but ONE, that is. We were doing a slightly ridiculous but still fun obstacle course, and Nicole didn't know I was stopping so she bumped into me from behind and I fell and landed quite gracefully on my tailbone. Nicole of course found this hilarious, but I can't remember much else...Monday seems like a looooong time ago.

Okay, so this post is a bit of a monumental occasion. Why? Because I am finally posting - in PEACE - with my very own laptop!! I am so excited! And you know those late night gmail talks.......as much as I enjoy them, are we really willing to risk it again? I'm not sure. If we were ever caught, we would most likely be in big trouble. And my heart starts racing uncontrollably whenever I think I hear someone coming. And then in the morning I always expect my dad to bring it up or ask me what time I got to sleep. And what am I going to do, lie?! No way. Not only is it not right, but I am usually a pathetic liar. I don't know what to do!

Post soon! :)
Love, Brunette.
